COWBOY DENIM

These dark blue Levi’s 512s (bootcut) have been beautifully worn in, their faded creases whispering stories of time and movement. They were discovered in the basement of a small tailoring shop in Cologne — a quiet treasure tucked away beneath layers of dust and forgotten cloth.

The jeans feature a single belt loop and five distinct leather patches, each cut from reclaimed pieces collected over time. The dark brown leather strap along the bottom of the left leg once belonged to a vintage leather bag, now reborn as part of the garment’s evolving story. 114cm

This piece continues the theme of searching and restoring — of finding what has lived before and giving it another chance to breathe. I imagined what the cowboys and frontiersmen might have used to patch

their denims, reinterpreting that spirit in a more romantic way: rugged, resourceful, yet quietly beautiful. Every patch was sewn in the atelier with a zigzag stitch — a deliberate, handcrafted rhythm, binding fragments of the past into a new whole. What was once worn and weathered now carries a second life, stitched together with care, memory, and a touch of poetry.
